Why I Started My Practice
For more than 25 years, I've worked alongside students as a teacher, gifted education specialist, and adjunct professor at the University of Denver. During my doctoral research on gifted adolescents and in my university classrooms, I kept seeing the same thing. Bright, capable students were struggling with planning, organization, time management, and follow-through. Many of them had never been directly taught these skills. Executive function skills aren't something we're simply born with; we need to learn, practice, and strengthen them.
This work is also personal. My own children have struggled with executive functioning, and I have too. I know how stressful and discouraging it feels when your abilities don't match your results. After the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw the need for this support grow sharply, especially among students with ADHD and gifted learners. For them, gaps in executive function often show up as anxiety, overwhelm, and self-doubt.
I started my practice to give students the direct, personalized instruction they need. Building these skills does more than improve grades. It lowers stress, builds confidence, and helps students see what they're truly capable of.

WHY A DANDELION
Each seed is
headed somewhere.
When a dandelion lets go, its seeds scatter, but every one is carried toward new ground. That’s what we hope for every student: release, growth, and a clear direction.
